Founded by Chris Rowland aka @bignosebbq in 2024, Origin Barbecue combines over 20 years' expertise in the entertainment and hospitality industry, with a passion for authentic barbecue.

Chris’s culinary journey spans the vibrant flavours of Texas, Colombia, India, Europe and Lebanon, combining a world of flavours to our unique barbecue offering.

At Origin Barbecue, we collaborate with local friends and producers to craft a menu that reflects the rich agricultural heritage of Dorset and the New Forest.
Our establishment is built on the skills and services provided by patrons and local workers, ensuring that every bite is a true representation of our community spirit.

We're thrilled to share our location with Neil and the team at Drop The Anchor Brewery, which brews on-site their impressive selection of award-winning ales and beers. Guests can enjoy these exceptional beverages alongside our mouthwatering barbecue, creating the perfect pairing for a memorable meal.

Our collaborative venue features a large outdoor kitchen, brewery taproom and snug with log burner and games.​​​​​​

The extensive yard has plenty of picnic bench seating along with an impressive entertainment barn containing stage and covered seating. Event production is expertly managed by our friends Jamie and Jo from Back Room Productions.
