Welcome to Origin Barbecue on the Hinton Admiral Estate, New Forest.

Founded by Chris Rowland aka @bignosebbq in 2024, our team combine more than 20 years' expertise in fire cooking, entertainment and hospitality.

Chris’s culinary expertise combines the vibrant flavours of his mother's homeland Lebanon, with immersive foodie trips to Texas, South America, Turkey, Scandinavia and Europe.

​​​The Origin team work with local farmers and suppliers to fuse the rich agricultural heritage of the New Forest with bold international flavours.

You'll find Origin's outdoor kitchen in the yard at East Close Farm, on the A35 next to the Retreat Hotel.

We share the yard with Drop The Anchor Brewery, who have a cosy tap house featuring their award-winning craft ales. 

​​​​

For casual dining and drinking with family and friends, you'll find picnic benches, a warm snug and a barn with under-cover seating. 

​​​

Our collaborative events are co-managed by Jamie and Jo from Backroom Productions, who supply the PA and backline, along with booking DJs and bands to perform in the barn.
